I believe that Australia can deliver the highest quality education to all students - whether in Walkerville, Whyalla or Wingellina.
I believe the energy we put into our hardest students reflects the outcomes we gain with all.
I believe that there are other ways.
I teach to develop individuals that value the world they live in.
I teach for criticism, for questioning, for challenging our environments.
I teach for hope, for justice and for struggle.
With almost a decade of experience in education, I have worked around the world with students across all age groups, language abilities and socio-economic backgrounds. I am passionate about working with culturally and linguistically diverse groups, particularly in areas of community development. For the past four years, I have worked with remote Indigenous communities in South Australia. I speak three languages - English, Spanish and Pitjantjatjara. I hold a Master of Teaching (Melbourne), a Master of Indigenous Education (Macquarie) and an Honours degree in History (Adelaide).
When not involved in these, I get excited about all sorts of music, about radical ideas and new experiences. I travel in a ute with my beautiful hound, Emma.
