I have spent some time thinking about critical pedagogy recently. When I say thinking, I don't mean thinking in a particularly deep way. Rather, it's more that the words 'Critical Pedagogy' keep returning to my head. I have/had a copy of Paulo Freire 'Pedagogy of the Oppressed' from my university studies somewhere. I assume that that's a good place to stay. I also have some bell hooks in pdf form on my computer. This is a feminist tract, though. 'Feminism is for Everybody', I think.
Where should I start if I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of the critical pedagogy canon?
Giroux?
Any advice welcomed.
